Privacy Policy

LanternLit is a trade name of Stonewren LLC ("we", "us"). We answer missed phone calls on behalf of heating, cooling and plumbing businesses across the United States ("our customers") and send them the details. This policy explains what we collect and what we do with it.
What we collect
- From people who contact us through this website, by phone, or by text: name, company, phone number, email, and anything you choose to tell us.
- From our customers: business contact details, the mobile number lead alerts go to, and billing details. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store full card numbers.
- When you sign in: if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, profile picture and a Google account identifier, and use them only to sign you in. We keep a record of your sign-in sessions (including IP address and browser type) to keep your account secure. We do not get your Google password.
- From callers to our customers' businesses: when a call to one of our customers is answered by our service, the call is recorded and transcribed, and we capture the details the caller gives, such as name, phone number, service address and the reason for the call. Every caller is told at the start of the call that it is recorded.
- Technical data: basic logs from our hosting provider (such as IP address and browser type) used for security and to keep the service running.
How we use it
- To answer calls and deliver call details to the business the caller was trying to reach.
- To respond to your inquiry, set up and support your service, and bill for it.
- To review and improve how calls are handled for that customer.
- To keep the service secure and to meet legal obligations.
Information from a caller belongs to the business the caller called. We use it only to provide our service to that business. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use callers' information to market our own services to them.
Text messaging and mobile numbers
If you give us your mobile number and agree to receive texts, we use it only for the messages described in our SMS Terms. We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are excluded from any sharing described in this policy and will not be shared with any third parties. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers we need to run the service, under their own privacy and security terms: Retell AI (call answering, recording and transcription, including the AI models it runs), Cloudflare (website and database hosting), Stripe (payment processing), Google (sign-in, if you choose it), and Twilio and Pushover (text and push notifications). We may also disclose information if the law requires it or to protect someone's safety.
How long we keep it
Call recordings, transcripts and lead details are kept while the customer they belong to uses our service and deleted within 90 days after the customer leaves, unless the customer asks us to delete them sooner or the law requires us to keep them. Website inquiries are kept for up to two years.
Security
We use encrypted connections, access controls and reputable providers. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell affected customers promptly if we learn of a breach involving their data.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing hello@getlanternlit.com. If you called one of our customers, we may refer your request to that business, since it controls that information.
Children
Our service is for businesses and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
