Terms of Service
Last updated October 7, 2026
These terms are an agreement between Stonewren LLC, doing business as LanternLit ("we", "us"), and the business that signs up for our service ("you").
1. The service
We answer calls forwarded to us from your business phone line when you do not answer, using an automated voice assistant, and send you the caller's details. The assistant takes messages. It does not book appointments, diagnose problems, quote prices you have not approved, or promise arrival times. You remain responsible for returning calls and for the work you perform.
2. Not an emergency service
The service is not monitored by people in real time and must never be relied on for gas leaks, carbon monoxide, fire, medical or other emergencies. You remain responsible for your own emergency and after-hours obligations. The assistant follows a safety script for reported gas smells, carbon monoxide alarms, fire, smoke or similar hazards and tells the caller to contact 911 or the gas utility. The service is not an emergency dispatch service and does not contact emergency services on anyone's behalf.
3. Your responsibilities
- Set up call forwarding with your carrier (we will help) and keep the information you give us accurate, including your business hours, emergency rules and approved fees.
- Use the service lawfully, only on phone lines you control. You authorize us to answer calls in your business name, as your agent, and to record and transcribe them on your behalf.
- Approve your greeting. Every greeting tells callers they have reached an automated assistant and that the call is recorded, and you agree not to ask us to remove that disclosure.
- Get any consent needed for messages we send at your request, and call your leads back yourself.
- Keep your contact details current so lead alerts reach you.
4. Price, billing and cancellation
The service costs the monthly price shown when you sign up (currently $300 per month), with no setup fee and no long-term contract. You add a payment method at signup, but billing starts on the day your line goes live, meaning the day call forwarding to the service is turned on and tested with you. After that you are billed monthly in advance. Payments are processed by Stripe. We will give you 30 days' notice of any price change. You can cancel at any time from your account page or by email; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing month and you will not be charged again. See Cancellation and Refunds.
5. 2-call guarantee
If, in any billing month, the service delivers fewer than 2 qualifying leads to you, that month is free: we credit it against your next bill or, if you have cancelled, refund it. A qualifying lead is a call from a real person (not a robocall, spam call, or test call by you or us) who left a name, a callback number and a reason for calling, where the lead message was delivered to you. The guarantee applies only to months in which call forwarding to the service stayed turned on. We will share the call record for any lead you question.
6. Availability
We use commercially reasonable efforts to keep the service running but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error free. Calls are forwarded to us only when you do not answer, so your phone continues to ring first. We will tell you promptly about any outage we know of.
7. Warranties
Apart from what these terms describe, the service is provided "as is." We do not guarantee any answer rate, transcription accuracy, or that any lead becomes a job.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim. We are not liable for lost profits, lost business, or indirect or consequential damages, including from missed, delayed or incorrectly transcribed messages.
9. Data
Call recordings, transcripts and lead details from your callers belong to you. We use them only to provide the service, keep them while you are a customer and delete them within 90 days after you leave, and will export or delete them sooner on request. Our providers are listed in our Privacy Policy.
10. Indemnity and acceptable use
You will cover our costs from claims caused by your instructions, your content, or consents you were responsible for getting. You may not use the service for outbound robocalls or anything unlawful.
11. Changes
We may update these terms with 30 days' notice by email or text. If you do not agree to a change, you can cancel before it takes effect.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of Bay County, Florida.
